“Innovation from the respect to the tradition.

The ‘Levantá’ is the moment when the Red Tuna caught in the Almadrabas is hoisted. It is carried out several times between the months of April and June, during the spring. The boats are placed in a circle with the ‘cod-end’, the net that collects the fish, between them. And they narrow this circle until the water “breaks to boil” by the desperate finning of the tuna. And, it is then when the sailors raise the nets and the copeadores begin to catch the tuna offering a surprising spectacle.
